The Mouillé dream bikini!

If I had a favourite Mouillé bikini for this summer… it would be the Mouillé’s ‘Geometric Bikini Set’.

Featured with 6 different colours, it’s so beautiful and so unique. It’s great for showing off a beautiful tan and a perfect fashion statement for the beach! I couldn’t think of anything else just one bikini would offer?!

So I’ve decided to dedicate a whole post to the ‘techni-colour dream bikini’ (what a stylist once called it!)

mudpie trends for Summer ’11…

OK, so I don’t usually do posts about swimwear that isn’t ours! But I couldn’t resist in this case….

I found this image online (still trying to find the designer though). This bikini, who-ever designed it, is original, creative and a refreshing take on the ‘LBB’ (little black bikini).

This got me to thinking about trends for Summer ’11. After checking out trends for Summer’11 on mudpie.co.uk, one of the leading websites for trend predicition I found some things that took my fascination…

Their supposed swimwear trends for Summer ’11 include: stud embellishment, decorative gold waist belts and soft metallic sheen finishes.

Now now now… this doesn’t mean to say our Summer ’11 collection will be a metallic feast for the eyes because although I believe in observing trends, it’s important to design without pre-tensions and with complete orginality!   However, it’s nice to see the direction in which swimwear will be taking in the next year! AND being passionate about swimwear, this excites me to the core… so much that I infact believe one of the trends for S’11 in beachwear will be the ‘unexplored’. Interesting embellishments, unusual trims, never-before-seen styles & cuts in swimwear… the future of swimwear design has never looked so good… woohoo!

I can’t wait for S’11…

Silky bottom…

Mouillé is now in Charlottesville, Virginia (USA). It’s in a high-end boutique called ‘Derriere de Soie’ (meaning silky bottom in french).

I’ve been told that the line is selling out very quickly! So if you live near Charlottesville, Virginia get your ‘butt’ in there before there is none left…

Doesn’t she look sweet? I love the matching sarong & flowers…

Happy Monday!

Faded denim & pastel colours

I found this image on ‘miggylikestheinternet’ (http://www.miggylikestheinternet.com/) – a blog with style & spunk! Miggy, creator of the blog, is wearing our Naomi Frill Top with faded denim shorts & a gorgeous cream bag. This ‘effortless yet chic’ outfit demonstrates the perfect way to wear a separate bikini style top even when not at the beach/pool. Cropped tops are the way to go this summer, so now you have an excuse to wear your bikini top all day…

Island dreaming*

I wish I was…

here…

or here…

or even here…!

*sigh*

But instead I am at my desk day-dreaming of these places…

Bikinis & birdcages…

Mouillé is going global! Our products are now available in Lebanon. ‘Birdcage Boutique’, a cute ‘high-end’ boutique located in Beirut was opened last year by founders Lama Jammal and Mariana Bassatne. Their inspiration for opening ‘Birdcage Boutique’ was to create a boutique that sells ‘funky clothes & accessories’ for stylish women.

I don’t know a whole lot about Lebanon, which inspired me to google ‘fashion in Lebanon’ and the results were endless! It seems there is a huge market for swimwear & lingerie there – especially in Beirut. Hmm, it seems that I need to take a little trip…

– Did anyone notice that birdcage in the window? How cute & appropriate!

I heart summer!
